How to write a NeuGrid agent job brief you can review
Define the work, the proof and the acceptance decision before an agent starts.

A useful AI agent job brief makes the result reviewable before work begins. It names one outcome, the artifact to deliver, the evidence to attach, and the rule for accepting or sending it back. NeuGrid documents jobs for people and agents; the founder still has to judge the delivered work against a clear brief.
About this guide: IAI Tech checked the public NeuGrid pages, manual and agent kit on 15 October 2026. The task card and review sheet are original editorial examples. We did not post a job, connect a wallet, inspect a private delivery or measure an agent outcome.
Why write the acceptance rule before hiring?
“Make me a good FAQ” leaves the worker to choose the source, quantity, audience and meaning of good. A reviewable version says how many answers, which approved facts may be used, what to do with unknowns, and what file or link closes the task. NeuGrid’s hiring guide recommends a clear deliverable and review criteria. Its agent profiles show track record and reputation, but those signals do not establish that a particular delivery meets your requirements.
Keep the scope small enough to inspect. If the worker needs to invent facts or obtain private access to finish, the brief should tell them to stop and mark the gap rather than fill it with a confident guess.
What does NeuGrid document for jobs?
The current NeuGrid manual describes a Work job with a title, brief, worker eligibility, skills and reward. A worker delivers a link. The creator then reviews it and can approve or send it back with a reason; a contested rejection has a dispute path. The manual also documents direct hire in Messages and campaign postings, which have different selection and escrow moments. Check the exact route you choose rather than assuming every job uses the same application flow.
For a paid Work job, the manual says the reward locks in escrow when posted; the hiring guide explains that open jobs may be claimed while campaign postings collect applicants. The current reward and any changing fee or review window belong on live pricing. Because NeuGrid is on devnet, do not call a test payout real earnings.
A task card a founder can adapt
Fictional example: Mica Repair is an imaginary booking product for small repair shops. It has an approved product specification and no published customer results. This example is a draft brief, not a NeuGrid job that was posted or completed.
Title: Draft an eight-question customer FAQ for Mica Repair. Audience: repair-shop owners considering the booking tool. Use only the approved product specification and help links I attach. Deliver one editable document with eight short questions and answers, a source section or URL beside every product claim, and a separate list of unanswered questions. Do not invent pricing, integrations, availability, customer results or legal promises. Do not contact customers, publish the draft or use private accounts. If a necessary fact is missing, write “Needs founder confirmation.” Acceptance: all eight answers address a real first-use question, every product claim maps to an approved source, links open, unknowns are labelled, and the document can be edited. Send the document link and a short list of open items for review.
The job’s eligibility, skill tags and test-network reward would be set in the current Work interface. Those settings are part of the posting, not facts about this fictional brief. Keep any real reward within your own account’s current rules and verify the network status first.
A five-line acceptance sheet
Review the artifact itself, not only the delivery note or the worker’s reputation. Use pass, gap, or untested for each line. The table is an IAI Tech method; NeuGrid does not claim that it automatically performs this editorial review.
| Check | Evidence to inspect | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Count and audience | Eight distinct questions a repair-shop owner would ask before trying the product. | Pass / gap / untested |
| Claim sources | Each product statement maps to an approved spec section or working help URL. | Pass / gap / untested |
| Unknowns | Missing facts are labelled for founder confirmation, not presented as features. | Pass / gap / untested |
| Boundaries | No customer outreach, public posting, private account use or invented proof. | Pass / gap / untested |
| Handoff | Editable document link opens; reviewer can identify the version and remaining work. | Pass / gap / untested |
For each gap, write a specific correction and identify the affected line or claim. A fair send-back might say: “Answer 6 mentions SMS reminders, but the approved spec does not list SMS. Remove the claim or mark it for founder confirmation.” This is an illustrative review comment, not a report of a real delivery.
How should you handle delivery and approval?
NeuGrid’s manual says a worker submits a delivery link and the creator sees a Review action. Open the link, apply the acceptance sheet, and save the reason for any send-back. The public MCP job kit describes an external agent’s list_open_jobs → claim_job → submit_proof path. A submitted link proves only that something was delivered for review; it does not prove source accuracy or fitness for use.
Do not leave a direct hire unreviewed indefinitely. The manual documents an automatic release path for an unreviewed in-chat delivery; consult its current terms and record the review deadline in your own task sheet. If a delivery is sent back, the worker may contest the decision through the documented dispute route. Clear initial acceptance criteria make that later decision easier to explain.
What changes for an outside agent?
NeuGrid’s external MCP connector guide says the outside harness runs and wakes an external agent. NeuGrid supplies a gateway and job tools; connecting a key does not make the platform host that outside runtime. The older thin job wrapper and full belt expose different tool sets, so confirm the client’s configured tools before assigning a task. The founder’s deliverable and acceptance rule stay the same whichever agent type takes the job.
Frequently asked questions
What belongs in a NeuGrid agent job brief?
Name the outcome, exact deliverable, allowed inputs, evidence to return, acceptance checks, worker eligibility, and reward. Record what the worker should do when a required source is missing.
Does submitting a proof link mean the job is accepted?
No. NeuGrid documents a delivery review step: the creator can approve the work or send it back with a reason. A link is a pointer to inspect, not proof that every claim is correct.
Can an outside AI agent take a NeuGrid job?
NeuGrid’s public MCP job kit documents listing, claiming, and submitting proof for jobs. The outside agent’s own harness runs and wakes it; connecting the kit does not make NeuGrid host that outside process.
Does a paid job use real money now?
As checked on 15 October 2026, NeuGrid says it runs on Solana devnet and its USDC balances are test money with no real value. Check its live About and pricing pages before any job decision.
Sources and editorial method
Sources were checked on 15 October 2026. NeuGrid pages and its public agent kit support the workflow and test-network context. The Mica Repair task card, acceptance sheet and sample correction are IAI Tech’s fictional guidance. No authenticated job, payout or agent run was performed.
